Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to and use of Georgia Released Inmates. By browsing or using the site, you agree to follow them. If you do not accept every condition stated here, do not use the site.

Georgia Released Inmates is privately owned and has no government, sheriff, jail, or corrections affiliation. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides credit, employment, insurance, tenant-screening, or other FCRA-covered services. The site is a release-record reference, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of This Website

This is a private reference site. It is not part of GDC, a Georgia sheriff's office, a county jail, a court, the Parole Board, DCS, BOP, ICE, or any other public office. The site stores no official custody records and cannot confirm a release, free a person, or submit a government filing.

Its role is to organize statewide Georgia release-record and offender-search routes, send visitors to the appropriate county coverage, and provide access to independent research tools. Official records remain with their government custodians and may be requested under the Georgia Open Records Act when the law permits.

Acceptable Use Rules

Your use must be lawful, respectful, and must not interfere with the service or other visitors. You agree that you will not:

  • Use the site while violating any applicable law
  • Stalk, threaten, harass, or harm another person
  • Rely on site information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or a similar eligibility decision
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems
  • Operate automated bots, scrapers, or bulk collection tools
  • Disrupt access, performance, or availability for others

No Consumer Reports

Georgia Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not furnish background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports, and neither it nor its advertising partners offers screening services. You agree not to use information from this site for:

  • Employment, hiring, discipline, or firing decisions
  • Housing or tenant-screening decisions
  • Creditworthiness or insurance-pricing decisions
  • Licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

External Website Links

Links may lead to jail rosters, sheriff and corrections sites, government portals, county subdomains, legal resources, and independent search services. A link is provided for convenience and does not endorse the destination. Georgia Released Inmates does not control an outside site's content, privacy practices, data quality, terms, or availability. Review the destination's own rules before using it.

No Warranties

The site and all content are supplied "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, no warranty is made regarding:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information
  • Continuous or uninterrupted access
  • The absence of errors, bugs, or security weaknesses
  • The scope or quality of a partner's search results

Custody statuses, projected dates, and public records can change. A transfer does not always mean release to the community, and a tentative parole month is not a guaranteed date. Nothing on this site is an official statement from a Georgia sheriff, GDC, the Parole Board, DCS, or another government agency.

Limits on Liability

To the maximum extent Georgia law permits, Georgia Released Inmates and its owners, contributors, and partners will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from access to, use of, or inability to use the site.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Georgia Released Inmates and its owners, contributors, and partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the site or your violation of these terms.

Intellectual Property Rights

Unless a different owner is identified, the site's original text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Georgia Released Inmates or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, alter, republish, or commercially exploit that material without prior written permission.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page, and continued use after posting means you accept the new terms.

Suspension of Access

We may restrict, suspend, or end access to all or part of the site at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Georgia Governing Law

Georgia law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction within the State of Georgia.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
